Hotspot detections are based on temperature differences on the earth's surface. However, there can be multiple heat sources such as industries or gas flares that may cause false positive detections. These heat sources are known and can be classified, so we aim to avoid sending unnecessary notifications triggered by activity from these clusters.
There are three ways of excluding notifications from non-fire events:
From the Activity Feed:
Go to the menu Monitor → Activity Feed → Click on the bell icon → Select your preferred stop-notification timeframe.
From the Cluster detailed view:
Go to the Menu Monitor → Activity Feed → Click on the bell icon → Select your preferred non-notification timeframe.
Please notice: In order to stop notifications from the Cluster detailed view you have to consider the fulfillment of the following requirements:
The cluster is inside one of your monitored areas.
The Monitored area has the activity feed synchronization active.
The timestamp from the item "Last Hotspot" is not older than 48h
From the other notification methods (Email, SMS, Whatsapp):
Go to the Menu → Monitor → Your Areas → Select your area and click on Edit Area & Notifications, and scroll down.
Look for the Advanced Notification Criteria dropdown menu:
Make sure that the Exclude Known Constant Heat Sources checkbox is marked:
