LEO Satellites are the key to our early detection advantage since they have a very sharp resolution. They are able to detect small and accurate hotspots in a timely manner when all optimal conditions, such as a clear sky and the minimum required size play a role together.
Nevertheless, since LEO Satellites are orbiting Earth they also require a certain minimum time to overpass a specific region on the globe. This means that each region in the world has specific time ranges that include LEO Satellite coverage. There are two main timeframes, one during daylight and one during the evening-night.
To check the specific timeframes in which you have the coverage of LEO Satellites please follow the instructions:
Please look for the menu “Account” → “Settings”.
You will then access the Settings submenu and please make sure that the selected timezone corresponds to the location of your monitored areas.
Back on the main screen, set a marker by clicking right somewhere within your monitored area or areas of interest.
By clicking on the marker a detailed view will pop up with all relevant current weather information as well as a list of past and future LEO Satellite passes:
The list allows you to have a better idea of when to expect LEO Satellite passes for your area of interest and at your local time. In this case, we can see that for the Central European Region, we have a night coverage from ~20:29 until ~04:34 and a daily coverage from ~10:47 until ~15:19.
